It sucks. I miss Pizza, Milk, Ice Cream, etc.

I developed it around the same time my husband did and we both stopped eating dairy about a year and a half ago.

I don't think I have an intolerance per say, but I do think that dairy isn't good for my gut and if I don't eat it for a period of time, when I revisit it - I do get stomach complaints.

I'm sorry that you cannot eat the foods that you like because of this.

I'm not sure dairy is really good for any of us.

I'm not. I've always wondered, compared to other allergies (if you can call it that), why do some people that are lactose intolerant still like to sometimes eat/drink things that they can't even though it will make them suffer a little bit later?

Is it just a case of not wanting to miss out on some good food?

I am lactose intolerant, but I didn't get that way until later in life. I'm not sure how, or why - maybe it was another illness that triggered the intolerance, but you can become allergic to anything at any time.

Maybe people have gotten used to eating / drinking certain things and just don't want to stop. :D

Many people find they don't tolerate milk products. If you think about it, humans are the only creatures who drink another's milk & into adulthood!
I don't get an upset stomach as much as I get earaches when I consume too much.

Sometimes having dairy products will upset my stomach, but this isn't the case all the time. My spouse has issues with dairy more than I do, so they often get plant based milk and ice cream. They love oat milk the most.

Not me, but I don't like neat milk, it tends to make sick - not the substance itself, just the taste. Great in coffee and on cereal, but that's all.

I eat most of these things, but I have a friend that has been told to skip eating most of them. So, I know how frustrating such thing can be.
