Mental Illness How do you manage your anger?

Anger is something that's very common with all human beings. If you don't get angry at one point in time, something is really wrong with you. I manage my anger with drowning myself in music. It's the only thing that calms me down when I'm pissed!

I have anger issues. I have been battling with anger since my teenage days. My father even took me to a psychiatrist when I was an eighth-grader., however, the psychiatrist said I was just fine and my anger is related to hormonal issues, which will be gone by the time I become an adult. But the problem still persists.

Anger is difficult to manage. I also struggle with anger issues, which are massively exasperated by my issues surrounding alcohol and even overeating.

I am mostly in control of my anger these days, but it does spill over sometimes. I have never physically assaulted anybody before though.

I have anger issues myself, but they were worse before I started medically transitioning from female to male as I am a trans guy. I feel that I have mellowed out a lot more since transitioning, so I think my dysphoria played a role in my mood. I also feel anger differently than I did prior to transitioning, whenever I get angry now it comes in small bursts but I get over it quicker. If I'm very angry I take a step back and stop whatever I'm doing that's causing me to be angry.

I think I am also in control of my anger, however, sometimes it spills out. My anger has caused a lot of issues in my personal life and professional life. These days I just try to avoid situations that trigger my ager.
