A lot of people seem to assume those of us with learning difficulties are doing it deliberately just to be difficult

Why is this? People who do this, treat us badly and i dont understand why they think we are bad people who are doing it purely and simply to piss them off and inconvenience (spelling) them ???????

I'm sorry that you have come across people who have purposefully tried to make you feel inferior because of learning difficulties. Those people are probably feeling self conscious and are projecting their own insecurities on you, which is obviously massively uncalled for.

I'm sorry you have experienced this, it sounds like you have had a poor level of professional care so far. That is far from acceptable, did you make a complaint...?

Don't attempt to understand why 'they' don't understand because you will never find a comfortable answer. People don't like people who are different from them, in a bizarre way they actually fear you because they don't understand, and quite frankly they don't want to understand. It's easier for them to revile you than it is to attempt to put themselves where you stand. Sod them, I say, if they have an issue then that issue lies with them and not you.

As for professionals, if that is how they think then they are in the wrong profession and they should be taken to task - report them to their supervisors or manager and make sure that they know that you are pissed off with 'them'. Professionals, meh!

Stand your ground and make them realise that you are the sufferer and they are 'supposed' to be the crutch that you can lean on for support, not ridicule.

i cant make a complaint cause what they do is they look at me like i'm stupid and use condescending (spelling) tone of voice

its also sometimes on forums, people who claim to be doctors

I think sometimes people feel threatened when we pull them up on their rudeness, but you should absolutely follow through with your complaints and make sure the relevant people find out about your poor experiences.

A doctor at work walked past me today and said hello

what was his intentions? doctors normally ignore us cleaners, they would pay more attention if a mop and mop bucket took itself past them with nobody holding onto it, the mop mopping the floor by itself

i dont know if the doctor is going to find out from my supervisors where i live and come to my house to hurt me then hurt both Tigger and Willow

idk if i'm being paranoid
