QUESTION:

If you were going to be shipwrecked on an uninhabited island with only one forum member for company, either from this forum or another, who would you choose for your partner?

Tough one because I have so many good forum friends, but bottom line I choose...

That's a really, really tough one! I have great friends right here on this forum, I'd want them! If I had to pick just one, though...that's hard!! Can I sacrifice myself and have another friend take my place? I'll go with @Foxy the wonderful

QUESTION:

If you could automatically be fluent in another language, which would you choose and why?

Probably Japanese. I love Japanese culture, so to get closer to it would be great

I think I would choose Japanese too, or Chinese - I love Asian culture too and would love to relocate there at some point in my life - however unlikely that may be.

Russian, just in case lol. Seriously, I'd love to be fluent in German, been something I've always wanted to learn, but I'm not geared up to learn another language, I guess I'd have to live there to pick it up properly as learning it from a book or course doesn't work for me

Sign language for me. Started studying it many years ago but forgot most of it. My boyfriend has two deaf siblings and a deaf SIL.

I started learning French (7th grade JHS) Chinese (dated a guy from China) and Japanese (also fascinated with the culture after watching Shogun) & ein bisschen Deutsch years ago, but typically ADD, I started Gung ho and never progressed very far. Still have books & tapes and can recall a few phrases.

Question:

Do you still have any items from your childhood?

I have a teddy from when I was a young boy that my youngest daughter sleeps with every night.

If I remember, I will get a photo later on

I have dolls, stuffed animals, games and a ballerina jewelry box tucked away in the back of a closet.
